Centering point is a practice to shift your mindset or attitude. Once you have practiced the centering exercise for a set of statements, you will only need one summary statement to shift your mindset or attitude.

How it works

Always start by focusing on your breathing. It’s not always easy to keep your thoughts only on your breathing – pulling air into your lungs and filling them through to your diaphragm then exhaling as fully as you can. However, the more you practice this, the easier it will become. Know that the harder it is to pull your focus solely on your breathing, the more you really need to do it.

Now start with the three top statements. Say each, aloud or silently, to yourself with an inhale, exhaling between each. Try to do this six times in a row, but do a minimum of three repetitions.

Last, say the summary statement. Feel all three statements merge into one.

Do this daily for most of the month and you will be able to call up the summary statement at any time to shift your mindset or attitude.
